The Greenville Drive and Columbia Fireflies put on quite a show.

Columbia shortstop Mondo Blas had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Blas was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, even as Greenville beat the Fireflies, 8-5, in 11 innings. Eric Williams came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Yago Funez? The Greenville center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Drive on top, 6-5. For the game, Funez had 1 double and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Funez.

The 7th-place Drive go to 16-18.
