The Kannapolis Intimidators knocked off the Lexington Legends, 22-5, at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Mickey Fishman was a big reason Kannapolis won. The center fielder was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Xavier Roy, the winning pitcher, is now 4-2. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. This loss makes it 13 in a row for Lexington.

Dan Kimpel had a big 2-run double for the Intimidators in the top of the fourth inning. With Kannapolis leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Leonardo Rios and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Intimidators ahead, 5-2.

"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Daniel Mojica. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."
