Catfish Victorious at Jonesboro, 5-3
Columbus and Jonesboro got after it at Growlers Ballpark.

The Columbus Catfish picked up a win at Growlers Ballpark, taking down the Jonesboro Growlers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Zachary Ota was a big reason why. Ota, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs.

Columbus used a clutch at-bat from D.J. Clark to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Catfish ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Feels good to get the job done," Clark said after the game.

Columbus, at 14-19, sits in 7th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division.
