Getting offensive support from Isaac Cummings, the Columbia Fireflies topped the Lexington Legends, 5-4. Cummings went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Fireflies. Brian Giancaspro picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Henry Anniston was tagged with the loss. Jack Barclay earned the save, his 3rd, for the Fireflies.

Cummings had a timely hit for Columbia in the bottom of the eighth. With Lexington trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Columbia.

"Both teams played hard," said Columbia manager Jason Earle.

Columbia currently is in 8th place in the South Atlantic League Carolina Division at 14-21.
