The Bananas faced a stiff challenge from Charleston pitcher Jason Rennie, but persevered to claim a win at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The final score was 2-1. Rennie went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Savannah reliever Mason Caminos was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Peyton Tjelmeland. Paco Marchan finished the game for Savannah and earned his 6th save.

Savannah needed the clutch hitting of Dean Schillerstrom to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bananas on top, 2-1. For the game, Schillerstrom had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
