Behind the hitting of Will Shackleford, the Columbia Fireflies clipped the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-5. Shackleford was 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Fireflies. Columbia now has a record of 21-5.

In the bottom of the eighth, Mondo Blas delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Columbia second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Fireflies in front, 6-5.
