On Road, Memphis Drops Atlanta, 10-3
|
The Memphis Blues downed the Atlanta Braves, 10-3, at Truist Park. The Blues were led by Caleb Oliver. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Hastings Anderson finished to wrap up his 2nd save. With the loss, Atlanta falls to 8-7.
With Memphis leading 7-2 in the top of the eighth, Oliver came up to bat against Atlanta pitcher Caiden Tiffin. Oliver hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Blues on top, 10-2.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Oliver told the Memphis News. "But we take nothing for granted."
