Expos Get Close Win Over Blue Jays, 3-2
The Montreal Expos beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-2, in part because of shortstop Brian Ottman. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Expos, now 10-5, have been red hot.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Ottman went to the plate for the Expos. With the clubs tied 2-2, he saw a 2-2 curveball from Homer Covarrubias and hit a solo home run to put the Expos on top, 3-2.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Toronto manager Matt Martin.
