Legends Buried By Hickory, 19-1
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Hickory Crawdads powered past the Lexington Legends, 19-1, at L.P. Frans Stadium. Ralph Robinson provided some of the pop. Lord of the Swings was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Brandon Falkner collected his 1st save.
Hickory designated hitter Gavin Thomas delivered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. Overall, he went 3 for 6, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and knocked in 6.
"Not much drama in this one," said Robinson.
The win gives the Crawdads a record of 9-8.
