Lakewood BlueClaws starter Danny Nelson was in fine form against the Greensboro Grasshoppers at NewBridge Bank Park, leading his team to a win, 6-3. The winner was Trevor Schmidt in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Nathan Oko took the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Hunter Britz.

Lakewood used the timely hitting of Lee Pressley to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the BlueClaws on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Pressley.

The loss puts Greensboro at 11-8.
