RiverDogs Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Charleston RiverDogs defeated the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-5. Center Fielder Lee Britton deserved a large share of the credit. Britton went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 for the RiverDogs. The save went to Ace Goodson, number 3 for him. The loss puts Delmarva at 6-7.
Center Fielder Edgar Clark made an impact for Charleston, when he swatted a 2-run triple off Marcio Ramírez in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Clark went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It was a solid team effort," said Clark after the game.
