Bowling Green 4-2 Losers to Suns
|
Hagerstown turned a good effort from starter Justin Buterbaugh into a win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods at Ballpark of Hagerstown. The final score was 4-2. Donnel Fiore closed it out for his 4th save. Hagerstown is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 14 games.
Elijah Benonisen had a big 2-run home run for the Suns in the bottom of the first inning. With Hagerstown leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ynilo Benitez and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Suns on top, 3-0.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Benonisen told the Hagerstown News.
