Braves Deal Power Painful Loss
The Rome Braves weathered an outstanding game by West Virginia second baseman Benz Woodruff to topple the Power, 12-11. Woodruff hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Wyatt Campbell was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Orville Yasuda. The victory makes Rome 6-8.

Rome got a clutch hit from Charles Coleman. The right fielder launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Coleman said.
