Legends Lose Again, 7-2, to Shorebirds

Delmarva pitcher Travis McGill did his part in helping his team defeat the Lexington Legends, 7-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was McGill. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Kyle Stark. Delmarva has a record of 3-6.
Delmarva third baseman Connor Nelson contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Shorebirds ahead, 2-1.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Aiden Garbers, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
