Suns RF Boston goes 4-for-5 in Win
|
The Hagerstown Suns downed the Asheville Tourists, 7-1, at McCormick Field. The Suns were led by Scott Boston. Boston went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The save went to Leonardo Veras, number 1 for him. The win lifts Hagerstown to a record of 4-5.
Hagerstown used a well-timed hit by Sylvain Parent to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Suns ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Parent told the Hagerstown Herald.
