Progressive Field was the site for South Atlantic League action featuring the Columbus Catfish and Columbia Fireflies.

Columbia Fireflies pitcher Remy Boadu was in top form, leading his team past the Columbus Catfish, 5-0. The winner in relief was Nicholas Townsend. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Aristo Gammage came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Columbus pitcher Danny Ross, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Columbia on top, 1-0.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Boadu.

With the win, Columbia boosts its record to 3-2.
