The Charleston RiverDogs stopped the Rome Braves, 9-0, behind an impressive performance from Terry Borrero. The 21-year old center fielder made life miserable for Rome pitching. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Charleston reliever Hendrix Dean picked up the win to move to 1-0. Scott Luna suffered the loss. The win takes Charleston to 2-2.

Nolan Bunkham had a big 2-run double for the RiverDogs in the bottom of the first inning. With Charleston leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Luna and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RiverDogs ahead, 5-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Charleston skipper Ramon Acosta.
