The Greenville Drive had to overcome a good performance from Bowling Green pitcher Alex Amadiz to claim a 3-2 win at Fluor Field at the West End. Amadiz went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Greenville reliever Wyatt Albert, now 1-0. The loser was Lindon Higgins. Greenville is now 2-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Erwin Naranjo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Greenville right fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Drive in front, 3-2.
