Minnesota Earns 3-2 Win
|
The inspired effort of Cincinnati third baseman Isaac Keenan was not enough to prevent a loss, 3-2, to the Minnesota Twins. Keenan went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Minnesota reliever Dustin Hopple picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Todd Sutphin was tagged with the loss. Earning his 2nd save for Minnesota was Forbes Bulykin.
Rylan Hayes, who finished 4th in the WEST in doubles with 50 in 2054, helped out the Minnesota cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Minnesota skipper Connor Sandstrom.
Losses have been rare for the Reds, who are now 10-3.
