Dragons Get Past Fond du Lac for 5-4 Win
The Dayton Dragons took Fond du Lac pitcher Brian Lego's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Fifth Third Field. The final score had Dayton getting past the Dock Spiders, 5-4. Lego went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. Spiro Balades earned his 2nd save in 4 chances. The Dragons improved to a lofty 92-37.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Gregory Shoemaker came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Fond du Lac pitcher O.D. Porter, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Dayton on top, 5-4.

"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Shoemaker.
