Win Goes to Chiefs in Tight Contest
The Peoria Chiefs and Fort Wayne TinCaps put on quite a show.

Peoria Chiefs starter Benson Guevara was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 5-2, in 11 innings. The win was credited to Oscar Alvarenga in relief. His record improves to 5-7. Hector McRoy took the loss.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Walt Baum? The 22-year old third baseman Baum stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put Peoria up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Guevara.

The Chiefs now have a mark of 53-79.
