Snappers Walk It Off for 53rd Win of Season
Beloit second baseman Caleb Sapp was instrumental in helping the Snappers triumph, 7-5, over the Ames Sod Poodles. Sapp belted 3 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored three times. The win went to Levi Bell in relief, making him now 4-5. Rocco Williams took the loss for Ames. The 7th-place Sod Poodles have lost 4 consecutive games.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Beloit trailing 5-3, Sapp jumped on a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Rocco Williams and hit a grand slam home run to center. With one swing, the Snappers had a walk-off win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Sapp said.
