Westside Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Westside Woolly Mammoths and Ames Sod Poodles rewarded fans hoping for nail-biter.

The Westside Woolly Mammoths had to overcome a good performance from Ames pitcher Steven Talley to claim a 3-2 win at Municipal Stadium. Talley went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. At 61-62, Westside is in 4th place in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Westside designated hitter Gilbert Ng, facing Mason White, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Woolly Mammoths the 3-2 win.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Ng.
