Woolly Mammoths Come Back Late to Clip Sod Poodles
|
Woolly Mammoths center fielder Elijah Plott put his stamp on his team's 3-2 win over the Ames Sod Poodles. Plott went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk for Westside in the contest. After today's action, Westside sits at 59-62; Ames slips to 59-62.
Maverick Stoddard was the walk-off hero for Westside. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Woolly Mammoths pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Plott told a Westside Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
