The Ames Sod Poodles downed the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, 3-2, in 14 innings at Ballpark of Burlington. The Sod Poodles were led by Nicky Edwards. Edwards was 4 for 7 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Fond du Lac now owns a losing streak of 8 games.

Ames used the timely hitting of Jonathan Waldner to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Sod Poodles on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
