The Westside Woolly Mammoths beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 18-6, at Municipal Stadium. Westside designated hitter Gilbert Ng had an outstanding performance. He hit 3 home runs. Westside reliever Brian Bergfeld picked up the win, raising his record to 7-3. Wuhan Chen was tagged with the loss. The 8th-place TinCaps have dropped 7 straight games.

Maverick Stoddard hit a 2-run double off Wuhan Chen in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Woolly Mammoths in front, 7-5. In addition to the double, Stoddard had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 5.

"We gave it the old college try," said Fort Wayne manager Mario Velasco. "But the old college try wasn't good enough."
