Adair goes 4-for-5, Leads South Bend to 12-8 Win
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium.

A 5-RBI performance from designated hitter Cleavon Adair, who is tied for 5th in the MID in hits with 120, led the South Bend Cubs to a win over the Great Lakes Loons, 12-8. Robbie Morgan, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 1.2 innings.

With South Bend leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Adair hit a fastball from Von Shrock for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 3-0.

"If it's down the middle," said Adair, "you might as well hit it."

The Cubs, at 53-57, sit in 8th place in the Midwest League Eastern Division.
