Memphis starter Maxwell Darbouze pitched well against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. In 6.1 innings, Darbouze surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Zósimo Tejada picked up the save, his 1st.

Memphis used the timely hitting of Joel Ervin to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blues on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but he made it count.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Memphis manager Willie Felix.

Losses have been rare for the Rockies, who are now 9-3.
