Extra-Inning Win by Dock Spiders Over Sod Poodles
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders topped the Ames Sod Poodles, 11-6, in 10 innings at Community Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Fond du Lac pitcher Jake Cathey. The 5th-place Dock Spiders are now 57-54, the Sod Poodles 48-63.

Fond du Lac used the timely hitting of Bob Brennan to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dock Spiders on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Cathey.
