The Ames Sod Poodles got a stellar performance from pitcher Victor Bustos, who handcuffed the Madison offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Muskies Ballpark. Ames reliever Isaiah Wilkes picked up the win to move to 3-0. Lee Barnes suffered the loss. The 4th-place Sod Poodles now have a record of 57-49.

Nicky Edwards had a direct impact on the outcome. Edwards contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Ames up, 3-2.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Aaron Cox.
