The Clinton LumberKings got a rain-soaked win over the Quad Cities River Bandits.
No one was more impactful than Kyle Vitale in the 13-4 Clinton win over Quad Cities. Vitale went 2 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. Clinton reliever Devin Novosad was the winner. His record is now 5-0. Cesar Ricker took the loss.
In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Vitale hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Clinton skipper Fernando Vasquez.
With the victory, the LumberKings upped their record to 64-43.
