Whitecaps Get One-Run Win at Flint
The West Michigan Whitecaps did just enough to sneak past the Flint Wolverines, 6-5, at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. West Michigan first baseman Arden Bridges, in particular, had a standout performance. Pete Witherspoon collected save number 13. The Wolverines have now dropped 5 straight.

With West Michigan leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Bridges hit a run-scoring single off Flint hurler Thomas De Torres. It was the 84th hit of the season for Bridges and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Flint manager John Vega. "But we decided not to take it."
