White Sox Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The Chicago White Sox overcame a fine performance by Texas third baseman Sebastian Carsten to defeat the Rangers, 7-6, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Carsten was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Leland Stotts. He is now 2-0. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. Jeremiah Zacharias sewed up the save, his 1st.

It could have been a different outcome for Chicago, had it not been for Cristopher Betancourt, the 30-year old first baseman . Betancourt contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said White Sox manager Mike Rhoades. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The White Sox, now 9-3, have played inspired baseball.
