Fort Wayne left-hander Danny Tomlinson pitched his team to victory over the South Bend Cubs at Parkview Field. The final score was 4-1. Tomlinson, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. The last-place Cubs now sit at 29-72.
The TinCaps got a big at-bat from third baseman Kaiden Potts. For the game, Potts went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Fort Wayne a 3-0 lead.
