Late Rally by Pirates Locks Up 8-6 Win
The Pittsburgh Pirates besoiled an otherwise fine performance by New York third baseman Derek Torres by beating the Yankees, 8-6, at Best Buy Ballpark. Torres slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Pittsburgh pitcher Konstantin Yeomans earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jonathan Bradley suffered the loss. The Yankees drop to 5-7, as their stumbling start to the 2064 season continues.

Pittsburgh took the lead, 8-6, on Duncan Fry's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off New York pitcher Jonathan Bradley in the bottom of the eighth.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Fry told the Pittsburgh Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
