Peacock, Loons Beat Snappers, 7-3

Great Lakes took on Beloit in front of a lively crowd.
The Great Lakes Loons beat the Beloit Snappers, 7-3, at Dow Diamond. The Loons got a fine performance from shortstop Terry Peacock, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Jonas Jockisch earned the win for Great Lakes. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 7-5.
Early in the game, Peacock had a 2-run home run for Great Lakes. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Loons on top, 2-0.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Peacock said. "That's how it goes."
Great Lakes goes to 58-40, Beloit to 54-44.
