The Ames Sod Poodles beat the Quad Cities River Bandits, 9-2, at Community Field. Mason Starr starred for Ames. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Lee Trejos in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Apostolos Galis took the loss. Ames, now 53-47, has stretched its winning streak to 10 games.
