The Madison Muskies welcomed the Westside Woolly Mammoths to an night game at Municipal Stadium.

Jeffrey Walter helped his team muscle past the Westside Woolly Mammoths, 6-4. In the game, the Madison second baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run. The winner was Madison reliever Andrew Szymonik, now 6-3. The loser was Boyd McKinnon. Wayne Pomykal earned the save, his 2nd in 5 tries.

Zachary Helms delivered a big hit for Madison. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Muskies ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Helms told the Madison Herald.

The 7th-place Woolly Mammoths dropped to 49-46.
