The Kansas City Royals picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, topping the Fresno Falcons, 5-4. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander A.K. Perozo. He played a principal role in the triumph. Jeremy Curry, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The win puts Kansas City at 8-3.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Kansas City designated hitter Jacob Cole, facing Aryan Donovan, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Royals the 5-4 win.

"A.K. did what A.K. does," said Kansas City manager Steven Fahey.
