The Westside Woolly Mammoths scored a convincing win at Municipal Stadium, defeating the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 12-2. One of the hitting stars was Wayne Lewis, who is tied for 9th in the MID in stolen bases with 12, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Woolly Mammoths upped their record to 46-46.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Delonte Benjamin was at the plate when Westside scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Woolly Mammoths to go in front, 3-2.
