Woolly Mammoths Win in Extras, 4-2
|
Westside turned a good effort from starting pitcher Desmond Carrasco into a win over the Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond. The final score was 4-2 in 10 innings. Justin Mandros closed it out for his 16th save. The 'W' lifts Westside's record to 56-35.
Arsenio Guzman came through with a big-time hit for Westside. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Guzman.
