The Lansing Lugnuts dealt the Great Lakes Loons a 6-4 loss at Cooley Law School Stadium. Sherman Edwards was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. The Lugnuts sport a record of 57-33.

Edwards had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 sinker from Martin Carroll, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Lugnuts a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Edwards.
