Quad Cities Beats Westside, 7-4
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Westside Woolly Mammoths, 7-4, at Modern Woodmen Park. Quad Cities right fielder Tristan Barton had an outstanding performance. He was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Quad Cities is 4th in the Midwest League Western Division with a record of 47-45.
Barton had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Tresco Gordon, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the River Bandits a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Barton.
"Enjoyed this one," Barton told the Quad Cities Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
