Quad Cities Beats Westside, 5-0
|
The umbrellas came out during the Quad Cities-Westside contest at Modern Woodmen Park.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old second baseman Perry Feucht, the Quad Cities River Bandits stopped the Westside Woolly Mammoths, 5-0. The defeat makes Westside 47-44.
In the top of the fifth, the River Bandits found themselves in a jam. Westside had runners on 1st and 2nd with two out. The score was 2-0, Quad Cities. Ethan Stevens was at the plate, hoping to deal the River Bandits a serious blow. Instead, he flied out to end the threat.
