White Sox Reel Off Another Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Mets, Julian Svehla was the X factor. The Chicago right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Svehla picked up the win for Chicago, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Ayden Cook recorded the save, his 3rd.

Chicago right fielder Brandon Speight contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the White Sox ahead, 2-1.

"I can't say enough about Julian," said Chicago manager Tristan Scoggins. "He stepped up when we needed him."

The win lifts Chicago to a record of 10-1.
