Dock Spiders Come Back Late, Nip LumberKings
|
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders starter Mark Dunning was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Clinton LumberKings, 2-1. The win cannot erase the fact that Fond du Lac still has a disappointing 26-58 record.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Fond du Lac first baseman Joshua Robertson, facing Grayson Wick, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dock Spiders the 2-1 win.
Robertson said his team "played with a purpose."
