River Bandits Score Decisive 9-2 Win Over Wolverines
|
Good production from third baseman Thad Larose helped the Quad Cities River Bandits topple the Flint Wolverines, 9-2. Larose went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the River Bandits. The River Bandits improved to 44-39.
The Wolverines had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the River Bandits going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Antonio Nova came to the plate. Nova hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 slider from Flint hurler A.J. Haddock. It was Nova's 10th double of the year.
"I wish every win came this easy," said Nova.
