Wolverines Cut Down Woolly Mammoths, 5-2
|
The exploits of right fielder Miguel Angel Luna helped the Flint Wolverines defeat the Westside Woolly Mammoths, 5-2. Luna was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. At 47-30, the Wolverines claim first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division.
Flint took a 5-2 lead on Luna's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Gavin Mendenhall in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Flint to the win.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Luna told the Flint Daily.
