Loons Rally For 10-7 Win
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Great Lakes Loons and Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Fort Wayne second baseman Yonelvy Ortiz was sensational. He was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Great Lakes beat the TinCaps, 10-7. The win belonged to Justin Hulin in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Hector McRoy took the loss for Fort Wayne. Christopher Schmoker recorded the save, his 8th.

Great Lakes used the timely hitting of Elías Gurrola to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Loons on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Gurrola told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.

Fort Wayne has now lost 5 straight.
