The Flint Wolverines got a stellar effort from pitcher Rivo Cotto, helping Flint score a win over the visiting Dayton Dragons, 5-2. Kajon Davis sewed up the save, his 13th. The Wolverines go to 30-35, putting them 7th in the Midwest League Eastern Division.

The Wolverines got a big at-bat from center fielder Thánatos Borges. For the game, Borges was 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 10th double of the season gave Flint a 4-1 lead.

"Rivo didn't fool around out there," said Flint field general Kyle Price.
