Brandon Love pitched a gem to lead Houston to victory over the San Francisco Giants, 4-1. Picking up the save was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Egerton. San Francisco, with the loss, is still a robust 7-3.

Houston right fielder Pearce Key contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Astros ahead, 1-0.

"Brandon was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Houston manager Anders Robinson.
